Sounds very impressive but there must be something wrong with mine then average mpg is 33 best on a motorway run is <40mpg but it is an estate with those big tyres MB insist on fitting 245 section front and 265 section rear

    I think it’s a bit of a little white lie ,
Can’t see those mls with 300 bhp unless you put a brick below accelerator pedal. Lol

They’ll be looking at the numbers on the trip computer which are wildly inaccurate after a remap

Wouldn’t say that Russ, my car after Acid had it, still averages around 42mpg so far, then again I do mainly longer runs with the odd short run to town (10 miles away) thrown in.

    From receipts and mileage?

Long runs do make a huge difference - I’ve averaged nearly 38 today when I’ve been showing 27 for the last couple of weeks. 4 hours of driving rather than 1/2’hour town work.
Those numbers are from the dash - 31.5mpg is my actual average for the 30K+ I’ve covered

Last year 48MPG between services. Very little town driving, but 3 weeks round Europe at 85mph where I could.

Done with receipts, never got out of the habit of doing it from when I had a fuel card for work and had to record all my mileage and fill ups.
Then again with a really bad trip to Birmingham a couple of weeks ago where I ended up in two traffic jams because people can’t drive I only managed 36.4 for my last tank of fuel. So swings and roundabouts, then again I didn’t buy the car for economy, I bought it because it was exactly what I wanted and I’d always find a way of running it no matter if it wasn’t as efficient as the Pug
