Thanks everyone, my ML is back and I can throw the HORRID insignia keys back at the hire company (like to throw the car at them!) I have never driven such a personality-less vehicle. It has NO redeeming features, everything about it is annoying. So THANK GAWD for the return of my "tank"

not heard a good report about the insignia YET, although the way cars are designed and built now, and most peoples demands mean that most cars are character-less now. steering too light, suspension too soft etc, theres just no feel in most cars nowadays which is a shame as there are some GREAT cars around, they just lack personality!

incidentally, what was replaced to get your car going again?
