They stayed the same from mid 08 till the end of the run, you should have no problems at all with your car. You can always double check that the seals at the bottom of C pillar are stuck fast, when the roof is down, just let the rear of the boot open and you can check that the insides are also tightly stuck fast.

No one should let Mercedes do the job because they cannot, and they could just replace them all at a horrendous cost, and they can still leak.

its just the local garage, known him for a good few years. he has never done anything like this before so im taking malcoms/television instructions

i think because i have been putting it off its the reason my PSE pump is giving me issues now

I am away for a couple of days, I have all the pictures on CD, just got to fit it all in.

I am not good with computers, is there any way that I can send the pictures on the disc quickly.

Better still upload any pictures to photobucket and link from there.

The problem with that approach is when they disappear , as they do, from the externally hosted site. The forum is littered with broken photography links. .. hosting here should keep them always available I would have thought. ..

That's true but we have a limit to the amount we can host on our servers.

There was talk of acquiring a separate server/host just for forum images. It would require images to be submitted for consideration and transferred by mods. Not a problem IMO.

I'll flag it up again to admin.....

OK I work in IT and hosting etc .I am a SAN / NAS / CAS / Vmware / UNIX specialist these days but I was a web dev - if image hosting is an issue can a admin pm me or can this post be passed to an admin as I can provide long term hosting that wont expire as long as we dont start getting TB traffic - which this site wont. I am even open to hosting the whole site for free but would need to see the stats first etc - not looking to take over domain etc I just want to help and give back in a way I can.

Hi all, i too am having a leak in my boot.

I am new to the forum and Mercedes so apologies i do not understand the terminology.

1) What is the C pillars? Can someone attach a pic with an arrow pointing to this so I know exactly what I should be looking for?

2 Has someone got instructions as to how to fix the rear window seals? MB quoted me a stupid price and i'd rather try a DIY, unless someone in the forum is offering the service?

I am in Lyme Regis, yes I can do it while you wait, some weekends are just fine, you can wander down to the sea front or stay and watch, the choice is yours.
