In cars, with or without elaboration!
Apols if this has been done, I did do a quick search!
Here's mine
1. 1978 - Austin Allegro 1100 DL - bought new/tax free in Germany, it was an export model don't you know, IOW the plastic trim went right up to the windows, it had velour seats and something else I can't remember - not reversing lights, thinking rear centre arm rest. I'd passed my test 2 years previous in a Land Rover and had driven ONCE since. I had to collect this from Bremerhaven and drive it to a little town called Lemgo, via speed-restriction-free Autobahns.
The bad dreams are less frequent these days.
2. Peugot 504 estate
3. Citroen GS club estate...
4. Triumph dolomite (type thing)
5. Another GS Club estate
6. Rover 2200 TC
7. Ford Capri 1.6L
8. BMW 518i - Left Hand drive - we're 1989 now and in Berlin when the wall came down.
9. Renault 21
10. Volvo estate - I don't remember what type but I think it started with an 8 and it was white.
11. Volvo 940 estate - we still have it - 157000 miles - won't die - mostly used for tip trips and delivery of large picture frames.
12. Dodge Caliber - ex demo 32 miles on clock but I was second registered owner so, not 'new'
13. Mercedes (Yeehah) CLK 320 avant-garde coupé - traded in the Dodge which was worth more and got paid the difference by the dealer. My wife HATED the Dodge and I still believe to this day that she murdered it.
14. 62 Volvo C70 D4 SE Lux Solstice with 'aluminium pack' in white, ex demo but not demo'd for very long (4000 miles) as Volvo discontinued the range. Volvo dealer offered us £200 PX for the lovely CLK, we got it up to £500, it drove really well (W reg but only 90,000 miles by 2013) but it looked like shoite in the end! It had stuff the Volvo didn't, like inflatable seat and speed limiter but the C70 had stuff the CLK didn't too, like USB, Bluetooth, keyless entry and start, seat and mirror memory stored on the keys ... etc.
Trouble with it was though, we realise now .... it wasn't a Merc!
15. SLK (in my profile) is the first new car I've bought since the Allegro! (Well, I say "bought" ....... not really !!!)
