Come up with a cunning plan on pump replacement. Now just waiting on an invoice and some news to say the car is finished- please cross everything you all have!

Is it more cunning than a Fox with 2 noses??

It's more cunning than a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University, walking around with a ten foot high illuminated sign chased in brass saying "I HAVE A CUNNING PLAN".

Is it sufficiently cunning that you could put a hat on it and call it a weasel?

WAY more cunning than that. (And I'm well read-up on Blackadder ;) )

In which case I feel compelled to rectify my earlier statement..... It needs a tail on it to be called a weasel.

Needs must when the devil vomits into your kettle

But it's not my birthday, ARCH DEACON!

I could go on for hours, me.

Feeling a bit sad as the SL loaded to the top with tools etc will have to stand out for a few days soon, then it will go to Watford where I will take it all the way a few days after this.

Sent it in to an upholsterer to have a tear repaired in the vinyl (not leather).

Its a shame that you have to do this, not good on Mercedes at all.

I say tear, it's more of a split and I agree Television, it's not the quality I expected when I bought a MB. The sides of the split show just how thin the vinyl is too.

Would you mind sharing whereabouts and how much?

It was at the expense of the (non-mercedes) dealer I bought the car from two weeks ago. I've collected the car and they've done a great job; I assumed they'd repair the split, but they appear to have replaced the entire panel. It looks like new to my untrained eye.

The place they used is in Leeds and I had a look on google streetview and it's a really old-fashioned looking back-street place.

I you need the name etc. let me know and I'll get it for you.

old back street shops are where its at. my brother uses a guy in ilford for his leather trims. he's used the guy for last 15 years. on civic, skyline, lexus soarer, is200 and is220. i was impressed with the work on all of them. if I buy a classic mercedes then I'll definitely use him for the work. I'll try to upload a few pics :)
