Cleaned eldest son’s A class in readiness for ending of his driving ban. Moving it around for the first time in 9 months and the brakes appear corroded or something. I took it down the bypass to scrub off surface rust but there’s still a knocking noise as the wheels rotate, and braking is almost non existent. For a brand new car (67 plate) that does sound ominous!

Eventually gave the Panzer its well earned wash. Gyeon bathe + so a bit of added protection...
However last black car honestly....winters and black cars = frustration

Yeah well additional penance for him is finding, I would estimate about a grand, to pay for service A (102 days overdue but 0 miles done over same period lol) and brakes. Assume the leasing company will be OK with an Indy doing the work

Gave the CLK a wash, after its trip across the Pennines, to purchase the W211.

Installed the H2Go onto the W211. Whatever the last owner had spayed onto the windscreen made it nigh-on impossible to drive in the rain & dark. Water should now migrate straight off the windscreen at anything above 30mph.

I've only ever used the AngelWax stuff, as it works for me, and never suffered any 'wiper judder'. Just got to make sure the glass is properly clean, beforehand.

Got Gyeon view on mine and it does exactly that! Brilliant even in torrential motorway rain I don’t need wipers at all.
Only irritation is using wipers below 30 knowing it’s scraping a bit off each time...

On the W124 Checked the underbonnet fluids ( with the exception of the ATF )
Took out the OVP Relay to get the part number seeing as Mercedes Central Birmingham Parts couldnt find it
Removed the Trim at the rear of the Headlining to try to access the rear roof terminal block for the tailgate harness and start repairing or duplicating the feed for the rear wiper (managed without it in summer but definitely needed now )

Pulled my car out of hibernation for today. The roads are dry and the forecast is dry, so it's a rare winter run. Just lovely. I've driven 30 miles this morning, the last 10 with the roof down. Monday seems like a good day this week.

Just discovered to-day after nearly 2 years that if you are in E drive auto and you press the downshift paddle it downshifts !! LOL

If you press the upshift paddle you can upshift as well
