Not today but yesterday the 210 did another faultless 500mile run fully laden laden returning 28.5mpg at an average speed of 71mph :)

Today fired up the 129. Once again first turn of the key and she purred into life.
Also taxed the Smart Roadster and took her out for a run. After an hour running about the ABS light came on. Seems the yaw sensor has failed (possible wet under the carpets). Other than that it ran beautifully.

Watched the Sahara sand cover the car after a heavy thunderstorm in Andalucia last night.
Just arrived after a faultless run via Channel Tunnel, Normandy, Orleans, Cleremont Ferrand, Aquaduc de Garabit, Aquaduc de Millau, Narbonne, Barcelona, Castillon, Valencia and Granada. 1783 miles over four days at 54mph average, giving 51.6 mpg and clocking in excess of 220,000 miles.

I don’t need to walk anywhere. The beach comes to me over here courtesy of sandstorms. :D
I thought you lived on the beach? Just a very very big one...
(Much as when I stayed in Alice Springs the guys there said they were lucky living on the worlds largest beach - 1200 miles inn every direction)

They do have a couple of tarmac roads. But that’s about it! :D

Yeah it is quiet but I loved it there. Some of the best swimming I've ever had!
The regatta looks quite something but I missed it sadly....

The SL air conditioning stopped working so today I had it tested and regassed by www.wechillanycar.com. The SL had just 119g of refrigerant and 2g of oil remaining and was filled with 920g of refrigerant and 10g of oil.

Interesting, if you dont mind me asking, how long had it been since the last recharge and how much was the service?

I have no record of when it was last done, I have only had the SL since November 2016. The cost was £74.99 including a £5 discount as we had 2 cars done at the same time.

.
Ordered two rear springs, to match the new higher clearance at the front ...
Got just over £25 off of the list price for the pair, from MB Edinburgh, which is not bad at all :)

Just checked the Clk lights for mot on Friday . Only one rear fog light on the drivers side works , if I swap the left and right bulb still the same one lights up , so I'm guessing that's as its meant to be ??
Just shows I have a memory that must be only 51 weeks long because I check the lights every year and I dont remember this being the case last year .
Anyone with a better memory confirm this .

Every MB I have owned has only had one rear fog light. Come to think of it I haven't checked the SL but I assume it is the same.

Yup, nothing to worry about - only single rear fog light is actuated, even though there are both bulbs present - redundancy.
