Hi all,

Been suffering from really poor running recently, jittery under load and rough idle. 2012 220 2.1

A code reader has reported ‘P263509’ fuel flow rate of pump A is too low.

Taken a look at the fuel filter, and it has what appears to be soot on top? I’m planning on changing the filter, but has anyone experienced this?

Thanks all
Stu

the soot is rubber dust due to the above. MB fuel filter interval in diesels is too long.
Get a new filter MANN or MB. I bet your current has the date stamp from MY of the car.

good luck and post back

Hi - New filter fitted this morning. Diag error cleared itself, and (unsurprisingly) engine appears to be running a lot smoother. Will take it out for a longer run tomorrow. Thanks for the responses.
