my white 190E had the same problem,, with it stalling when idle at lights,, or if i was pulling off the engine would just stop..
the tachometer would read 500,,, they turned the idle revs up,, so it idled at about 700.. this did seam to do the trick,,
the mixure was out as well... and at the new idleing revs this had to be altered.
each time it went in for a service they forgot why it was set abit higher, and they would turn the revs back down,,
so two weeks later i was back with it stalling again..
it was always in the colder month this would start happening...
and alot of damp was getting into distributor cap... it always good to go over this point with some WD40..
Wisher, believe it or not I'm having the same prob with my 190e yr1992 2.0 and it's operating in Kota Kinabalu ie. towards the tip of Borneo which is hot all year round. I had just picked this car 2mths back and realised the stalling problem albeit it's not always. To be exact 4 times. And this car was brought over from england in 1994. If anyone has any idea wud be very grateful...
