Hello. I have a c250 estate 2011. I’ve been having trouble with the car going into limp home mode for a while usually on motorway journeys. It clears after a few days. I’ve had the pressure sensor changed and a full regeneration done but the problem persisted. I had the Dpf checked again and it was reported to be ok, however, the garage changed a dirty air filter - and is also recommending that the inlet manifold needs to be changed as they suspect that it’s warped and is leaking. Since the air filter was changed, I’ve not had any further issues. I’m loathed to get the manifold replaced now as it’s 6 hours of labour and a few hundred pounds on parts. Appreciate any advice on this from the experts here. Thank you!

There was someone on here recently (I think it was here) who had their inlet manifold burn through. It's only plastic and susceptible to degradation.

By all means keep an eye on it, especially for air leaks.
If you get a feather or a strip of tissue paper and hold it around the top of the engine, if you can find somewhere the feather is being puffed about, then you know you have a leak and it should be changed.
