2011 SL500 new speaker

Hi there,
one of the door speakers has gone in my merc.
have been told to replace like for like new Mercedes speaker fitted £140
I thought this was reasonable, but now wondering if i could put an after market one in for the same quality or better?
What are your thouhts?

If you are happy with the sound, I'd replacfe like-for-like. Going down the "upgrade" root can be fun, but addictive/expensive

And can easily sound worse if the speakers don't match well.

I had Comand UK replace one of mine, matching the original. It works very nicely. Two years later Comand UK replaced the headset. Excellent.
