Hi Everyone

I really hope (for the purpose of helping diagnostics only!) that someone has experienced a similar issue.

The vehicle in question is a ‘13 ML250, really well looked after, FMBSH up u til the last few years and has been a real pleasure. I’ve had the vehicle about 5 years and as I’m looking to sell it, some gremlin faults have appeared.

It started when under light strain going up a hill on the A68 and lost power when over taking. It then was limited to circa 2400 revs and would show no response from the throttle. It would climb to 70+mp/h in the right conditions and cruise comfortably at this speed but revs were limited.

When I got back into town, the gears would labour before changing and rev beyond normal changing point. If I caught it in time, you could shift before it started labouring on the paddles but if you were too late then they would not help.

It’s been in and out of the garage, a garage I’ve used for about 10 years for various vehicles including an E350, E280, C230k, ML270 etc etc and they’ve always been great.

I took it to them and initially the fault codes over about a 3 month period have thrown up throttle body, MAF, high soot content DPF, boost pressure turbo 1 too low, output for throttle valve actuator (bank 1) has malfunction but seem to change after each part we through at it.

To date we have changed: (all original OEM parts)
MAF sensor
Throttle body
Top MAP sensor at throttle body (is this boost sensor?)
Charge air intake temp sensor
Air filter
Cleaned DPF
Performed Regeneration

It feels like we are so close but hoped for some insight if anyone had as seems we’ve been growing parts at it but there may be someone here with a wee nugget to help us out!?

Yours in frustration…

Ash

Unrelated but worth mentioning I guess is the other fault it has currently is a passenger airbag warning but from the research I’ve done it seems this is due to a passenger seat pad fault.
Thanks in advance everyone.
