We had a customer pay us a visit from Inverness today in his brand new Mercedes A45 AMG special edition!!!

to make the car even more special, we gave it our bespoke GAD software written specifically for this vehicle, unique software as with every car we tune, & the results were epic!!

stock 381bhp & 475nm
stage 1 410bhp & 580nm

gains of +29bhp +105nm

tuning these lifts the restrictive torque limiters & speed limiters.

the customer was astonished at the difference & was very happy

Pretty sure I passed this on one of our local roads. Can't be many Night editions about Inverness. Would be very interesting to join the owner for a wee drive.

It was out an about this weekend so unmullered at this point. Are gearbox problems commonly associated with remaps?

No, GAD will keep the mapping well within the safe parameters of the gearbox

bembo449 seemed to feel differently..? Perhaps not about GAD specifically but maps on *45 AMGs in general. I was wondering if they had heard of / experienced any specifics.

Hi guys, yes its defiantly a looker @webdunk might have been the same A45 you saw.

these things are mega, I have not heard of any issues with the gearboxes (there may well be issues) but none that ive heard of.

and as @JBell mentioned, we only stay within the safe parameters.

id heard of a g.box failure on a very low mileage car , nothing to do with GAD or remaps

right , there is a dedicated facebook page and an A45 forum that have a good few box failure threads on , usually in the first 2 years from new and covered under warranty , even the salesman at Mercedes who has just sold my mate one knew about the issue and gave reassurance that the issue had been rectified on the newer cars

Found a couple of threads on this. Reads like an issue on FL cars which was (after much faffing) resolved earlier this year. gearboxes were functional but could make a nasty grinding noise under certain circumstances (mostly experienced from cold).
