"99 W202 speakers. help please

Can anyone tell me the size of the standard speakers in a 1999 C240 W202?
also if i replace them with aftermarket ones will i need adaptors? if so can anyone recommend a place to buy?

You can replace the front with 165mm (6.5") speakers with adapters like these,

Here they are fitted to my car,

that looks great, I bet the sound is great too.. I looked through some of the others on the site, the 124's is even more !! One time I took my first coupe to Halfords to get a sub fitted and they wouldn't touch it because of the non folding seats, but I got it done else where in the end, bit of a bodge. Had I of know I could have got a door setup like those I wouldn't have even bothered....

Excellent set up. already got sub in the boot, just looking to upgrade the door speakers as they are really naff
