A Class odometer

I recently brought a 6 month old A Class.

The digital odometer has an intermittent fault.

As it is an ex rental, I figure someone has fiddled with it to avoid paying excess milage charges.

Please does anyone know what I should check before I take it to a dealer. ie loose wiring? Fuse?

Hi

There is not much to check. There are two plugs on the back of the clocks. With a good clip to hold in place. If they are there then the problem will more than likely be with the clock assembly. But first get it checked on the computor.

I would agree with Andy. what are the symptoms? These clocks are quite a common fault.

The easiest way to get round these excess charges is to disconnect the speedo from the gearbox.... check the connection here i guess....
