Could use a couple of pointers as to how to get the steering lock & Ign.switch assembly off of the column.
Have removed the surround & barrel.I think I've got a handle on it,but it's plastic for christsake,& would prefer to check before I break it!!
Thanks.

Hi Meanie,
The steering lock is one use only and is destroyed on removal. When installed, a pin is hammered through the bottom which holds it all together. This pin cannot be removed without destroying the lock. so the bottom line is that it has to be cut off and replaced.

So I wasn't being a complete muppet-the only way that I could see was brute force & ignorance.
Thanks.
