Hi,
I am asking a question here, because I feel like my mechanics don't really know what's wrong with my car.

Basically these are the problems I have:
-Central locking: sometimes 2 of the locks work, sometimes all work or don't and when I lock the car they keep firing about 4 times before they lock.
-Wipers switch stopped working, but wipers work when I push the button to wash the window. Today I've changed the wipers switch and alarm keeps turning on every few minutes. I just took the fuse out because it couldn't be stopped.
-An error came up on the screen saying that there is an error with the airbag, but when my mechanic checked the error, he said the code does not have any description and it is not even on the internet.
-Now my heating has stopped working too.

When I go to my mechanics they tell me to change this switch, those locks, heating etc, but I am convinced it has something to do with electrics. Is there any part that could be broken that is connected to all those separate parts?

Thanks for reading

Hmm, it makes sense with the battery, but the issue with the alarm started right after indicator switch replacement today. I am just worried I will keep changing separate parts and something else is a problem. But yeah, I will see my mechanic tomorrow and I'll ask him about the battery, thanks for help

Is the garage a Merc specialist? I would want it put on a proper star diagnostic machine. Generic obd readers don't delve 'deep' enough, and as you can see they will just be saying "change this, change that" possibly needlessly. (£££££) find a good independent local to you. Post up your location and I'm sure you'll get recommendations.
Get your battery tested.

Is your mechanic a Mercedes Indy (MB specialist)?
If you post up your location someone maybe able to recommend a suitable indy to take a look.

Edit......a minute late lol

Usually a fault in many different areas is down to a bad earth somewhere. Each module tries to find an easy path to earth and sometimes that can be through another module.

star. and someone who understands it . with yr different issues i sure there will be a common denominator such as ground, battery. if yr able, a clean up of all earths you can find might, resolve the issue. did all these issues pop up at once or one after another.
