hi all,

has anyone here changed the ad blue pump on their mercedes? Did it need coding to the vehicle or was it just a case of swapping them over?

Thanks

No idea Danny but from new my car threw up an Adblue error which required the cars Adblue sensor to be recalibrated.

Thanks, the dealer has already changed a sensor on it and has now diagnosed it needs a pump, I can do the job myself but won't be able to code it if needed. Alternatively I could get the pump repaired..

Have you got a picture of the pump you need?

Ok to update.

I decided to by a replacement pump (albeit a different part number as the original part number pump is no longer available to buy new). Anyway, it was a risk but was going to save over £500 if it worked.

I installed the pump and reset the code. Approx 500 miles later the fault has not returned. (Although I do now have another fault to do with egr)

I love my w221 cdi if it wasn’t for all the dam emissions nonsense..
