Got the "Adblue low, requires topping up" warning message. I've previously had this done at a service but one not due for 3 months so I thought I'd do it myself.
Went to Halfords and got 10 litres of Adblue and added the lot to the Adblue tank in the boot but the warning has not cleared.
The manual says that the tank capacity is 25.5 litres. I'd have thought that 10 litres would have cleared the problem? The obvious thing to do is to go and get another 10 litres and add that but before I do that I thought I'd ask if anyone knows the alarm set/reset as I don't want to overfill it.

Any help/advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Anything in the Handbook ?

No, nothing. Only the tank capacity.
I think they want you to take it to the dealers for refilling but it's so simple to do. Remove the cap and pour in the Adblue. Maybe I should just add some more and see what happens.

You have to fill it with a minimum 15L and recycle the ignition 3 times. Should then switch off.

Thanks very much. :)
I'll add another 5 litres and give it a go. If that doesn't work I'll add another litre at a time and hopefully it will clear.
I'll post the outcome.

Just don't brim it - mines a good inch or so below the cap when it's full . .

Went out this morning to go and get some more Adblue, started the car ...... and the warning message was gone! Looks like adding the first 10 litres did the trick :)

Thanks for all the help and advice.

You’ll be playing hip hop and lowering your ‘ride’ next!;)

No offence intended, just a bit of banter...

My adblue light came on this morning. When I asked mr Mercedes dealer if I could top it up myself he said have engine running why I don’t know. However 10 litres from Halfords with trade card half price all topped up no problem.

Cheaper and easier to use a filling station pump.
