See you dispensed with the panniers at your destination or did they go walkabout in Liverpool? (Only joking).
Left in the hotel, better aerodynamics for the mountain…;)

I see they had Peter Hickman’s Gas Monkey IoM TT winning BMW up for sale by FHO Racing if you fancy a really fast lap. Only done done 228 miles (one careful owner). it was offered by Bonham’s Spring Sale with estimate of £80,000 to £100,000, went. For £112,700 inc. premium.

Beautiful on the mountain this morning - 06:30 ride, no one else out

Bit cloudy in Douglas when we set off - misty as anything when we got back.

When we went to live in the IoM in 1997(I worked for Manx Airlines) after finding out I was a lapsed biker my shiftmates kept egging me on to get another bike. Its mandatory they would say.
I was scanning MCN classifieds every week until it began to dawn on me that it does rain rather a lot in the middle of the Irish Sea.

It’s also a bit nice when the sun shines…

A very useful pillion :)

Two days of riding and one or three (million) bugs - all removed now :)

I have never understood iom or ulster 200 ect why wud anyone look to head but a dry stone wall at 170 mph is beyond me. On a track one is extremely unlucky to come to serious grief around towns and country lanes a diff story I did some club racing many yrs ago but flat out down along a stone wall, no thanks
All to own.

There is no run off and when it goes wrong it certainly is unlikely to be ok. The risks are accepted by all and makes for truly epic racing for absolutely everyone! In a way it’s just like riding to the limit, on your favourite stretch of road, having the road closed and marshalled, with skilled riders all going the same way! In this day and age I’m shocked in a way it’s still allowed still but, bless the heavens and racers for it!

I used to ride with a competitors brother (r. Henley who became an instructor at Ron Haslam) about 20yrs ago and used the country lanes like a private practice session on weekends back in those days! Thank god I took a long break and did some serious growing up as otherwise I can guarantee I’d not be here today.
