Welcome Bob, not many I’d guess it’s a rare car you have there! I know of one but he’s on the other side but I’ve met at some AMG Private lounge meets but only if it’s really good weather (it is immaculate even underneath and inside exhaust tips!!)

no Matt, haven't seen him since I think an AMG meeting down Oxford way, over a year ago! He might be struggling as you say, the 63 is probably bubble wrapped

I have. :D

I actually chat with Rash most days via a mutual Whatsapp group so tend to keep in touch often.

He gets lots done, the car seldom moves though is cleaned on a regular basis, and young Lucas is now walking around, though not venturing into the garage yet. I've actually tried to tag him in on this thread, but the site's not finding him for some reason...

For the OP, This is an example of the condition he keeps his car in: -

It's a 57 plate with under 40,000 from new and is pretty much immaculate.

I met him at Alex's GTG at his new workshop, he wasn't at all happy about having to drive onto the grass field to park. Thought he was going to be selling it IIRC

Sorry chaps, been really busy. According to the howmany website there about 55 on the road in the UK some I expect are soft tops. I've had mine for about a year, got it from a nice guy down in Herefordshire. I've owned a W209 CLK55 for about 4yrs love that as well, but always wanted to add a 63 to the collection. I'm not prissy with my cars, although well maintained I do like to wring their necks a bit and see them as ongoing projects for improvement. The 55 is very quick and was good prep for the 63 which is very rapid and has to be treated with a little respect. Not sure whether the ecu has been tampered with but i've seen 175 and still accelerating on the autobahn. Both cars get used and have done a few miles "sur le continent" the 55 has been to Le mans and the Spa 24 on two occasions. Had planned to do a euro trip this year, head to the 24hrs of Spa to watch the other halfs son in law race then do the loop over the Alps into Italy, France etc, But the Corvid lurgy has put that on hold. Having said that I hope none of you or your relatives have been ill.

Clk63 convertible
Hello everyone, newly joined but a clk63 convertible owner here.
I've had it a couple of years now.
I didn't realise they came with this engine until I actually saw mine for sale, it certainly gives the clk a leg up.
We intend to get to the Alps this year in it if we can save up enough for the petrol lol.
It's currently on a SORN for the winter but will be coming out again in April.
With the top down it's a lovely way to get about.
Especially with that engine.
