Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- ford kuga 65 plate awd powershift .
Speaking of Diff's I had a 2004 S Type Jag and that only had a filler plug so I used to suck the old oil out with a syringe and refill. Jaguar also say the gearbox is sealed for life, I had mine changed twice over the eleven years of ownership by an Independent garage.
Wife's ford Kuga is the same , must of carried on the trend.

BMW motorcycles thought the same with their final drives sealed for life, but not any more.
Loads of problems early 2000's, now they have oil changes.
We had a R1100RT in the police the final drive caught fire on the motorway, scrapped as a result.

They now replace them FOC at 60,000km (37,500 miles) - just had my letter advising the changes to the service schedule last week.

I remember we had to take the whole fleet of R1200RT's to Piddocks in Nottingham to have the final drive oil changed in about 2006/7. They were only about 2 years old at the time, none would have done more than 10K miles.
Talking to one of the mechanics he was really ****ed off. The earlier ones didn't have a drain plug so the oil had to be sucked out. The later ones had a drain plug but they had moved the location to the other side of the final drive, right under the rear calliper. So they now had to remove the calliper first.
The FJR final drive oil change is every 6K miles, only holds about 200mL, & takes less that 5 minutes to do.
I have never heard of a FJR final drive ever failing, surprised yours is as long as 60K kms.

Well had my 7g ? auto-box serviced yesterday and what a difference it's made.
Only had the car a short time and it has 100k on it so i thought i would get it done as no idea if it had ever had a service before.
It was ok smooth before well i thought it was but now it is smoooooth as silk.
Had it done by a local indi who i have known for years as i was in the trade.
He used genuine oil/filter and charged me £256 witch sounded ok to me ?.
Old oil was very dirty so it had never had a service before.

Not much difference in intervals apart from the first at 77k.

I would keep the every 4 years after that for either 7g or 7g+

Not sure on mine just know it's 7g.
Never done before my guy recons.
The £256 included a flush to clear the tc. and i think it was 9ltr of fluid went in but could be wrong on that.

I don't think many owners are as into cars as us and just take the manufactures main dealers word about servicing.
And we all know what that is.
Mine and many others made it to and well past the 100k but that number is end of life if you listen to them.
Saying that years ago you wouldn't touch a car with close to 100k but times and engineering and whatever has changed a lot since then.

Just reading up on the auto-boxes and think mine is the 7g+ as i have stop-start.
Build date of the car is late 2012.
I know he said i had to have the blue fluid.

Yes many prerequisites have to be met , so quite the flawed system , it can't gauge if a stop is really required.

Plus it puts components on a shorter lifespan .

Luckily with this earlier system it can be delightfully permanently disabled .

It's a wrecking ball so best it not be .

I did a trial at first by pulling the auxiliary battery 7.5A fuse right near it .

Then months later I removed the auxiliary battery and taped the terminal leads .

Sold the good aux battery for £30 .

Both methods don't affect brake HOLD.
