Automatic Gearbox Service

Permanently disabled ????? how.
Mine will work some days shortly after i set off then stop working half an hour later for day's.

If you want to use it , charge or replace the main battery . Or simply switch it off.

I replaced the aux battery when i first got the car but the old one is still showing full well 12.7v so might try selling it.
Just went to the shops and it worked 2 minutes down the road but yesterday it didn't work at all.
Might just pull the fuse and have done with it full stop.

Both batteries are new varta.

I'm still on the original main battery that's in it's twilight years .

No idea how old the one was on the car but the brand on it put me off.
Go battery or something like that so i just changed both for what i think are good ones job done for a few years.

Mine was like this ,so I put it on repair mode with my smart charger. 36 hours later it's saying battery is fine.

Just reading up on the auto-boxes and think mine is the 7g+ as i have stop-start.
Build date of the car is late 2012.
I know he said i had to have the blue fluid.

I have tried to get to the bottom of which box is in my 2013 SL with stop start. The trans No is 72290604302635 which I'm led to believe is 7G not 7G+
I have read conflicting post's on this. Can anyone confirm which box I have. I did have the service done at 34.260 miles in 2020 by an Indi for £180.00 inc VAT which I thought was very reasonable. The car now has covered 46.000 miles so I'm confused as to when the next oil change needs doing.
Help please.

From reading the link above you have the 7g+.
The guy who did mine said "unfortunately Alan you need the pricy blue fluid".
I take it from that the yellow fluid costs less so a cheaper job on the 7g with yellow.
