Autumn - timely reminder

The approaching Autumn prompts me to make a timely reminder to C Class owners to ensure the drainage holes below the windscreen are kept clear of leaves, seeds and berries.

Last Autumn my 98 C250 had over an inch of water in the passenger footwell simply caused by the drainage holes being blocked with leaves. Overnight, rain backed up into the footwell precariously close to the fuse box.

My dealer told me this was a common problem.

good advice ...and it should be added that autumn is the time that mercedes recommends changing the brake fluid on all their models.

does anyone know why this would be?

ive looked under my bonnet (c200 1995) and i cannot see any drainage holes to check, are they hidden somewhere ? got a pic/photo pointing to where i should be looking ?

my previous 190d was very easy to clear the leaves out of and very easy to find the drainage holes

cheers in advance

Tucked away at each end of the windscreen channel.
Something like an old Bowden cable (without any sharp ends) is ideal for poking them through, then a flush with a hose.
