Hello all
Hope everyone is keeping safe
I’ve got a quick question and is probably very easy to answer for all of you but not for me

Car has been parked for 3 weeks so thought id take it for a little drive (32miles)
Stop start and hold not working

I’m not bothered about stop start

My question is if I put the battery on a trickle charger will this also charge the aux battery ?

Can’t see a date on the battery but as merc stickers on it so I’m thinking it’s the original battery

Car is a 63 plate
Thanks in advance

Main , HOLD has nothing to do with auxiliary.

You are in the fortunate position with a 204 that you can permanently disable Stop Strain by removing the aux battery fuse on top of it or completely remove the auxiliary battery saving 5 Kg .

Sorry for some reason I thought it did
I’ve got it on a trickle charger, I will leave it on for a few hours and see if hold start to work again

Using your mobile camera , scan the bar code on drivers door pillar . It'll take you to a mb web site showing you where it is.

As mentioned, its likely to be in the boot .

@Gazwould Can you do this on a 2017 W205?

Similar issue on wife's car last week.

Took it to work/back 120+miles round trip (critical worker status) - everything working back to normal. Have read in the past that a long run is required.

I don't think it works without a dash warning on later cars .
