Can anyone help? I own a 51 plate SLK 200k, 5 months ago tha blb warning light on the dash came on along with the BAS indication. I didn't realise until i was later told that my brake lights weren't working while these dash alarms were active. Mercedes main dealer changed the brake light switch, as i was driving home the alarms came on again, i went straight back and after another few hours in the garage they said they had found some loose wiring. they had test driven it and said they thought they had solved the problem, but if the alarms were to come on again then the main switch in the control unit would need changing? £250 for the switch. They did come back on again, but went off the following day and stayed off for the last 4 months. This week they have come back on again and i have no brake lights, I've tried changing brake switch again to no avail. Any ideas of the problem before i go back to the main dealer again?

its maybe a control unit problem.

Take it back to the dealers as they should have repaired it the first time.
