Hello fellow Mercedes owners. I live in CT and do not have a dealership in the immediate area. I am hoping some one may be able to help me acquire the code for the radio. Happy travels.

VIN: WDBJF20F3VJ032296
Year: 1997
300 diesel

Kindest of regards,
Chris

I am sorry but we cannot get a code from the VIN number, this info can only come from a MB dealer, you should be able to phone one, and they should be able to give it to you

You could ring Car Audio Technics, they have a radio code service.

If it is the original radio the code will be 52666 and the radio serial no. will be BE1692T10812110.

I
phoned one and they told me that since the car had never been in, due to the hour I had to call another time zone, that they would not be able to tell me.

You could ring Car Audio Technics, they have a radio code service.

I do not have a tool to get the serial number off of the radio.

If it is the original radio the code will be 52666 and the radio serial no. will be BE1692T10812110.
Thank you very much Roxie, I will try this on my way to work this morning. It is the original radio I believe.

This site will give you the code. You do need the radio serial number though.

Good advice, thanks.

It tells me waiting. I drove for about 15 minutes with it saying that. I have a longer drive tonight so hopefully it will finish acclimating.

If you have put the incorrect code in, it will lock out for ten minites. If you keep putting the incorrect code in the lock out will last progresively longer. If this code does not work it is not the original radio and you will have to take the unit out to get the serial no. of it.

If you can take the radio out, the code number will probably be written on top of the radio

C220 CDI 2004 AUDIO/TEL/NAV Stopped Working

I am hoping someone can help. My car suddenly stopped at the lights and wouldnt start. RAC recovered to a friends garage who has the car going again. However entertainment system which incorporates all of the above fails to power on. The display in the instrument panel shows Audio ---- I cant enter any numbers and for the life of me cant find the COMMAND booklet. I called Mercedes and they told me that my system does not require a code to be entered but needs to be reinitialised at a Mercedes dealer garage. Is this true? Does anyone know any different.

Many Thanks
