For the past three years I have had regular low battery warning alerts from the Mercedes Me app and via Email. MB dealers have blamed this variously on a dash cam (since connected to ignition) , a separate tracker or just not using the car sufficiently. This was traced to a software issue by a MB/RAC engineer and was resolved but has returned. I can drive 100 miles, (finally see the ‘Stop-Start’ functioning light illuminate after 50 miles). Only to get a low battery warning the next day. The battery is just a year old and I was advised by another RAC engineer recently that the battery was fine. Any ideas? The car has only ever failed to start after non use for 3 weeks +.

I questioning my battery also, I've tested it and found it to be around 12.2v or 12.3v when I'm stopped and 14.7v when started. My Eco has also almost stopped coming on or taking ages like yours.

12.2 or 12.3 is low. I've found 12.6 is the minimum for stop start to work on both of mine.

12.2v is deem d to be unsuitable and time for a new one. Mine was at 12.2v and the local mb place changed it as a starting point for a different issue.

Just get a varta silver or Bosch s5 from Tayna batteries. Even though my new MB battery reads fine it seems crap compared compared to the old varta silver they took off.

You also have a capacitor behind the glovebox which is known to fail and stop start will not work, both that and the battery need to be 100%.
