Battery usage

If I parked my CL in the garage for weeks at a time, as I do, would it be better to leave it unlocked for that time or alarmed and locked and which option would drain the battery more.

All MB's use less current locked than unlocked its only about 7 - 9 m/a but over time it does add up

If you're really worried about draining the battery then get one of those trickle chargers to keep it topped up. I believe that there's a thread where this has already been discussed.

Malcolm, what is switched off when the car is locked that saves 7-9 ma?

The alarm/ immobiliser is then in the sleep mode, rather than being active

Thanks Malcolm, I thought the battery would last better with the alarm active, Ive been leaving the car unlocked which is possibly why it gets through the batteries so quickly.
