Because SCR tampered with

Hiya
Just bought my E220d 2017 a month ago and i have a few questions.
Went for a diagnostic the other day because the ambient lights on one of the doors stopped working .
They said that the SCR was tampered with and the techs don't want to kinda touch anything because of it.
Also found Lin Bus 3 with a malfunction , the bus is Off and that would require a full strip down just to find the problem and that would be some 12 hours of labour.
Has anyone found these problems ??
Is there a solution to fix the ambient lights a different way?? 12 hours ??
Why did i buy this ??
What is to be done ??
Help please !!!

If the drivers door it might be a broken wire at the hinge.

If you just bought it a month ago I’d report it to the dealer and see if you can get your money back or get them to put it right. Sadly the dealer may not have known it’s been tampered with.

They only said it's been tampered with.
Someone did some weird stuff and they won't touch it.

Electrician checked it. All wires are OK. Said something about a small board but Mercedes don't know anything until striped

Contact trading standards, it’s free and they will guide you. All dealers need a proper legal bitch slap before they do the right thing.

Not main dealer but they do Mercs.
They ran a complete diagnostic and they were checking the faulty light.
Found more than the light.

The electrician opened the panel on the door and checked everything I suppose. Said could be electronic fault , nothing he can do about it.

And quickly.

Take advice as car isn't as declared
May not be sellers fault, but they are in the game with those risks.

Though they often will scan the car as part of prep and have seen what you see....?

Scr has nothing to do with ambient light faults. We have fixed a few ambient light faults, one which came from the bodyshop opposite gla35 with non functional rear door ambient light and same lin bus fault.

It threw us a curve ball as the bodyshop had all the door cards off/on for repair, but it turns out there was a broken wire in the dashboard, to the ambient light module.
