Hi,
I have a Mercedes E220d 2016.
A few weeks a go while driving I opened my sunroof and a few moments later the message blindspot inoperative is displayed.
I did not think that opening the sunroof would cause this and did not think the two are related.
Had diagnostics done, this showed the rear right radar sensor has a mafunction, sensor located in the rear bumper.
I ordered a rear sensor and got in installed, everything working. Driving yesterday, and opened the sunroof the same thing happened.
Any ideas as to why this could be happening?

Thanks

Does the same module control both systems?

The overhead panel will be also connected to the front camera (think your car will have them fitted but could be wrong), if the OHP is faulty there may be a spike in the electrical system that’s then blowing something else on the car, water ingress to the OHP is the usual suspect, but may need some time with an Indy to review properly

Hi, thanks for your reply.

is there any way to check the OHP? I did a visual check, I can't see anything.

Mine does have a camera on the front windscreen.
Can't see any water there.

Need to find a good Indy near me, in Ilford Essex.
