c220 /250 - 2018 or 2019 what is the difference in Tech

Hi. I about to purchase a low mileage 2018 C250 4matic , with all the bells and whistles. Except it has the small screen display with Audio 20 and LED High Performance lights without auto dimming.
The only 2019 that I can find, does not come with this kind of spec, but does have the later command system and LED Multi lights with auto dimming.
My main concern on the 2018 model is the lights not being auto dimming, and are they as good as BI-Xenons. (The 2019 model comes with the multi-beams )
Has anyone any view on the 4matic system.?

When you say LED Multi lights, do you mean it has the Intelligent Light system? If so, it's very good, and a big improvement in visibility at night as you can basically leave your headlights on full beam.

With regards to 4-matic, it is ok. I have had it on a GL and on my current E Class and it improves traction on normal roads, but in winter etc. having the correct tyres will make much more difference that 4WD. I'd also add that the 4-matic system does seem quite frugal. I have had over 60 mpg out of my E400d on a run even with permanent 4WD and regularly get high 50s on the run from B'ham to London.

The terms you stated, LED High Performance and LED Multi Lights, are not any system name that I recognize, they both may well be the intelligent light system or not, check the headlights themselves as it should be written inside the headlamp lens, Intelligent Light System.

The pre 2019 C230/250 have the High performance LED head lights. (You have to self dip)
2019 and on have the Multi Beam with the intelligent system.
As you state this is written inside the Head Lights for each variant.

LED High Performance is standard LED headlights. I have them on my wife's C Class. Very good light output, but you have to operate main beam manually.

Well thats not correct, my 2016 C 250 has LED Intelligent Light System, as did my 2017 SLC300 which is based on the C Class also.

If you bought from new you can spec them as an optional extra.
My 2012 C class had Bi- Xenon Headlights there are excellent.

The newer, the more tech, the more teh, the more often ur goin to be sat outside the dealer with ur cc . They are now built for that!!
If ur leasing, no prob, go for the tech, but do ponder, how on earth we all managed before????

Well thats not correct, my 2016 C 250 has LED Intelligent Light System, as did my 2017 SLC300 which is based on the C Class also.

So did my 2016 e350 c207 , based on the c class w204 platform.

If the lights are intelligent,it's written on the lenses .

Owned my 2016 e350 ,44 months . Didn't spend a penny on it . Think your a tad delusional.
