Yea. Suffolk transmissions. Seems a bit pricey at £720 for the unit but I’ve seen threads on here saying they can get them for £400. He originally told me £900. But Mercedes told him 7. Also bit confused about the gasket and oils

You have the sump gasket, ATF filter, the ATF itself (not cheap) few other o rings bits and pieces maybe and their time so £215 for that is not unreasonable.

Two weeks for that job is a very long time !! Having a courtesy car offered is a level of interaction that you might not want, I think the job is a single day job.

He said 4-5 hours for the job. Mercedes said 4-7 days for the part. But he said 2 weeks is the maximum all together (with waiting for the part). And the courtesy car is there so I don’t have to drive my car in the mean time while we wait. He said in the past there’s been a 9 week delay for parts from Mercedes. Thank god that’s not the case here! Lol.

oh I intend to. No point having a AMG if ur gonna drive slow! Lol.

All sounds reasonable to me, my own experience with fetching buying parts from Mercedes main dealer here in Cardiff is all very fast, some are in stock most come from their big warehouse in Milton Keynes, always got my parts in three days max.

If the part is in the Uk, dealer usually has it next day. If in Germany 3 days.
Then depends when your garage can do the work.

A vastly powerful car.

Merc marketing now throw AMG bits on cars so people have the bling factor.
