A friend of a friend of mine (really) has got an N-plate C230K with 185k on the clock (so just ran in) and has got a few niggles with the pedals;
1) There is a lot of play in the accelerator - you have to push it quite a bit before anything happens. Is this likely due to a stretched cable? Can it be adjusted out or will a new cable be necessary?
2) The clutch is very stiff when first used - after driving for a bit it settles down. Is it a cable or hydraulic clutch? Is this a common fault? Any thoughts?
As this is both a petrol
and a manual I haven't got a clue!
