C240 1998,auto gearbox standard/winter switch mode problem.

Now I have sorted the poor performance,with advice from this forum,I have discovered that the gearbox will not switch from winter mode to standard operation.Is it just a centre console switch problem or something more serious?Any ideas please.

This should be just the switch,you could squirt some lighter fuel into the switch while flicking from S to W
