c250 imobilizer

Hi can anyone help i have a 1996 c250, when locking the with remote quite often the indicaters dont flash, when we return unlock the car and get in the imobilzer wont turn off(green and red lights flash alternatly)
i try locking and unlocking, putting key in ignition, and the last two times awack of the interior mirror seems to do the trick.

I have turned the key on the alarm as this would quite often go off and pressing the key would not turn it off.

Do check the remote with a digital camera, are the batteries good.
if it is intermittent then the is a good article in the DIY section by anyweb on how to fix them

Hi,
Are the door red/green leds working as well, As all the leds have to work it will cause immobiliser problems when this happens on my car i set off new fob batteries fixes the problem (batteries are CR2025x2)

Hi,
If you have,nt got the led's in the door handle does that not mean you have one red led in the boot lid adjacent to the lock

I have an immobiliser problem too.96 SL 320. My red & Green lights on mirror are not lighting. Central locking on dash button works. Led on door not working. Changed batts in key & tried spare key. Had not locked car when i stopped & on return 5 mins later immob. didn't de-activate. Any help or is solution a transporter to MB dealer? Niall
