I just bought a mercedes c class 2.2 hybrid and the car does not start. the one I bought it from told me that it had some electrical problems, but he didn't tell me if it was on the hybrid part or on the actual electrical part of the car. Can you help me with what I could start with?

Without some proper diagnosis by the likes of our forum specialists, I doubt anyone will be able to even get close.

What is the nature of the electrical problems aside from not starting. What electrical gremlins were there? Does it crank?

It could be anything but any electrical problem with an early Mercedes hybrid could be very expensive :(

When I try to start it, hybrid battery era appears on the board with red light. I didn't have time to go to the service with her.

I don’t know if there is a common fault/fix for your hybrid battery issue so hoping others may be able to offer advice.

There were many reports in the press where loads of owners of these Merc Hybrids being left with an inoperative car, needing a new hybrid battery at a cost of circa £15/17k and they decided to scrap the cars. I hope this isn’t the case for you.

If that’s the fault, I don’t see any value in these cars for resale as no one will want it. You may be best breaking for spares to recover some money or, selling it to a breaker who can break it.
