Managed to get the Chemical Guys Wheel Guard on yesterday, and then finally got a break between showers this afternoon to get the Natty's on!

Quite impressed with both so far - although we'll see how effective it is in the next hour or so I think.

When I order the juice, I also bought a couple of the foam finger applicator pads... They're definite keepers!

Couple of pics to follow (maybe) when Photobucket stops buggering around! (The IMG link keeps pointing to tyres at the moment!)

Spent a bit of time with Meguiar's NX juice tring to clean exhaust up a bit... Needs more work, or stronger juice!

Then I just need to find something to shift the yellow waxy crayon the tyre shop used to mark up the tyres!!!

Thanks Jeff, may have to try it next. Got Meguiar's NTX (I think it is)... It's done ok, but there is some heavy coking around the rolled edges.

Was eyeing up the k17chen stainless cleaner... :)

Thanks gents. I was quite lucky that this was in reasonable shape initially and Dorchester MB prepped it quite well.

I'd talked them into StarGuard too, so I've just put a couple of treatments over the top of that to help. (The sales guy thought I was a bit strange when I brought my can of Autoglym Alloy Wheel Protector out in the show room, and gave them a coating before handover...)

I have to do most of these exhausts by hand because the top sits really quite close to the "diffuser"!

But the car is a real grower... Just been up to the shops, only about 3 miles out of town, and it just burbles quietly in the background. Came back out, and in the twilight, having just been TLC'd, it did look very steely. I nearly took a photo... But there were people around! :)

Natty's update: just noticed that birds had conducted a strafing run over bonnet and roof..... Hose has washed all of it straight off, no sign of any residue...

I'm trying to curb it!

Although the ease with which the bird graffiti came off, has justified it a little!

^ Still looking good, especially for a black car. That is some good stuff you are using.

Had read lots about the stuff, but have been impressed. And not stupidly priced either.

Just need to clean the tyres up... In particular removing the stock markings on them - some sort of wax crayon. Tried car shampoo and wheel brush, no effect. May have to try a bit of washing up liquid very locally applied!
