Hi there wonder if anyone can help and tell me how many glow plugs there are in a mercedes ml 280 cdi edition 10.I think it 6 but read somewhere it's 8 so an a little confused

Just when I tune the ignition on the coil lamp comes on as normal then when I start the engine it comes back on for 30 seconds then goes of ..but I did notice when I had drove the car the turned the igtion when engine was warm it was fine.

Anyone know how easy they are to replace and where they are located

Methinks you need to search on here for glow plug and glow plug control/relay issues.
