Car stalled at traffic lights - But its AUTO?

Hey, so last week I pulled up at traffic lights at M40 serivces J3. Car cut out (start / Stop) but when I put my foot on the gas peddal it started up but cut out compleated as it stalled and all lights pop up on the dashboard!


The car started up just fine and drop off and ECO light remain GREEN

I did put in Tesco 99 RON petrol about 7 miles ago

What is this all about and has it happen to anyone else?

There are issues with ECO faults and loads of software updates to sort them out.

Thanks, it if happens again I will pop by to a MB dealer and get the updates...

And not forgetting the lube bottle as well!

It happened once on our previous CLK as I was reversing into a parking space, but never repeated itself

I had a problem something like this on a 2015 E350 BluTEC. It was traced to the stop-start battery failing and was replaced under warranty. It's a small battery hidden under the dashboard, passenger side I think.
