Hello. Can anyone help? I am having an intermittent fault with my W124 Model 280TE with a HFM Engine Management System. The car will not start as there is no power to the ignition or injection system. The fault appears then disappears while the car is running. There is no lack of power, and performs well.

thanks in Advance, Al

check your battery, it's common for batteries with bad cells to fail at this time of year

Hi, thank you for the suggestion, however it's not the battery ( I had it checked out) as the fault appears when hot after a long run or when cold. It is electrical as there is no spark at the plugs and no power to injectors when it arises.
cheers, Al.
