CLK230 Main Roof Lift Rams

Hi, I have a CLK230 soft top and I,ve discovered that both main lift rams for the hood are leaking and need to be replaced or repaired. I don,t want to buy used ones as they may have the same problem. Does anyone know if anybody in the UK can repair them? Thanks

They can be repaired / overhauled also exchanged. It may be worth seeing if MB have the parts you need, sometimes they can be surprisingly good value. I have used Hoodtech in Chester before for frame repairs but not my current MB and only as they were close to me, but other professional repair services are available in the UK. A couple of places in the USA i have seen on Wheeler Dealers TV programme recently where you can send to them for exchange or repair, one was in Oregan the other I think Florida. May be more cost effective to do that. I recall they were a better than OE spec when repaired.
