Hi, I am Parky and have a 2003 CLK240 with 65000 miles on the clock and full specialist service history.
Thought i had already registered with this site when i bought the car 4 years ago (apart from one year where i put 7500 miles on the clock i only put a few of thousand a year on it).
Anyways I am planning on turning it into a complete custom job over the next few years. and reducing it to bare basics to run the engine and gearbox, all other sensors will be located in a central position. as a result i will eventually be offering any bits i dont need for my project for sale.
Any technical knowhow or even where i can find a full workshop manual would be of benefit to me, i intend to keep the clock binnacle and use all that in my final design. I will be trawling this forum for information in the meantime and will try not to post questions to that which has already been answered.
For anyone interested i intend to reduce the length as much as possible and bring the rear wheels as close together as possible using as much of the original car as possible so engine gearbox rear transmission wheels hubs and lights. the finished look i aim for is a reverse trike with 2 wheels at the back with motorcycle handlebars and seat.
Kind Regards
Parky
