CLK270CDI taking longer to start

Morning all,

As the title says really, it would always start on the 3rd or 4th turn, although I'm not sure how quick it is supposed to. It's taken 2 full goes to start these past couple of weeks and this morning it didn't start at all, I thibkbits the battery although I had it tested a couple of weeks ago and the guy said it was fine.

Is there anything else it could be? It had new plugs and a new control unit fitted Dec '13

first guess then would be that you have fuel in the air lines, take a look to see if you can see bubbles when cranking, easy fix with just a replacement of o-rings, think the dealers even do a kit to make it nice and easy.

Yep when my old C270 went through a phase of slow starting I finished up getting new fuel pipes because they had gone hard and brittle and new o rings. After that you only had to show here the key and she was going.
I got the bits from MB they were not too dear about 45 pounds if I remember.

Or possibly an injector starting to leak off a bit too much, but its likely O rings

My old c class 270 went exactly the same way at 80k. New lines and O rings sorted it all.

Well I jump started it and drove it a short distance, parked it up for 8hrs, then drove it another 20 miles, parked up for 6hrs and drove home another 20 miles.. Now it's back to starting on the 3rd turn and no problems since, weird.
