Hi The repairer advises of clutch debris in the bell hoiseing. However on the pictures forwarded, there is no metalm but some strips of a fabric type cover. What do you think the debris are ? might have happened
Many thanks

If the mileage is more than 100,000 Miles, then bits of the crankshaft seal.

Repairer could well be correct. The clutch plates friction material are often made from an impregnated cord type of fabric. It certainly needs looking at.

I’ve seen this before years ago on a Peugeot 205 that had been seriously abused , it had a new clutch fitted and then the owner drove it whilst drunk a few days later and the bell housing was full of same material which was from the friction plate.

Be prepared for the cost of a full clutch kit and flywheel skim.
