As part of my ongoing battery drain, wise sources tell me to check the comfort diode. I was expecting a small grey relay type thing at the back of the fusebox, cant see it, perhaps should eat more carrots? Anyone shed any light on this one? cheers!

comfort diode where are you?
Would i be right in guessing that the comfort diode is in the rear - most pale green relay in the relay carrier behind fusebox? My windows do operate with key out of ignition and doors closed so this is a very likely cause (if i can find the damned thing)

The diode you are looking for is just a diode, smaller in width than the relay and normally grey, and is either on top or underneath fuse board but attached to.

After all that......
Today replaced comfort relay behind fuse box, also removed glovebox, and behold, an ancient alarm system i did not know was on the car. pull plugs from alarm and yes you guessed it current drain vanished. hooray. by the way these cars are really well screwed together are they not? cheers for all the help people!!
