My wife crashed her c-class on Monday morning. We have a one previous owner 1997 48,000 mile 180 elegance with full Merc history. It comes in silver and on Sunday was in first class condition!!.She hit the off-side front wheel and wing of an X plate Polo and did 2000 grands worth of damage to the suspension and bodywork. Our bumper is scratched and the number plate split in two. There is a good argument about Mercs being strong but boy do they inflict some damage on other cars!!

By stricking the wheel of the other car, that's what caused all of the damage.
I have seen cars written off, when they look near perfect, some corner damage can put a little crease in the roof over the B pillar, and that the end for that car.
Some 25 years ago new body shells were fitted, but those days are long gone.
