Does an LED emblem cheapen the car?

I'm just trying to work out if I'd like an light up LED emblem on the front of my c class and though I would ask people's opinions?

It's something to laugh at but it can be turned off so tacky but no big deal.
For extra tackiness get some door puddle emblem projectors.

Problem is that those are standard on the car I have just ordered - I agree they are tacky!

That piccie is shall we say, enhanced.... However the real thing isn't bad; this is the actual puddle lamp displayed on my car (the diagonal lines are because it's projected onto block paving)....

...at least that's the one on the passenger side. The driver's side is a little less convincing...

This too started off as a pony but apparently they all deteriorate like this sooner or later (sometime even on new cars before delivery!?) and always on the driver's side - I'm waiting for a replacement under warranty at the moment ;apparently the demand is so great they're on back order...

Mercedes do a light up star. It's about £400 to fit though.

Only if you already have a grille with a central star. Add another couple of hundred if you need a new front grille too.

If I had a 180mm star in my grille, and not the 130mm one, I would fit an LED one, just for fun.
