Mine's just started to be a FRACTIONAL more hesitant; probably just normal but I'll keep an eye on it.

I've got a code-reader so, if it's either the relay or glow-plugs, would they throw a code?
depends in the code reader.

Readers identify the plugs provided the car computers are programmed to show that data set. I had the glow plug light on my W220 a few months back and the reader showed plug 4. I changed them all regardless.

I think that if g plug light stays on and thr plugs are fine one can assume its the relay. I dont know if the relay is pinpointed by a code reader.

Maybe someone else has deeper knowledge.

That's because of your post count of "9" ;)
Yeah, I’m not normally a poster, I pop up now and again and trawl through the knowledge bank. Had MBs since y2k and never regretted any of them except maybe after they’re gone of course. Bit like family aint they. I think my best remembered one was the W reg E 220 cdi with seats like comfy old armchairs. It ran for years in limp mode which I didnt bother to fix because the mpg was so good, until one of the swirl flaps detached and got stuck in one its valves.
