E55 AGM Batteries?

Looking to replace both batteries on my E55 Question is does the E55 really need AGM stop start batteries? and what have other 55 owners gone for? been looking on Tanya Batteries they seem the best deal, cheers Dave

Grangemouth gave me a price of about £120 delivered for my E320cdi battery last year (delivered) . I doubt your tiny little petrol engine isn't bigger than that baby !

Hi Wighty, Mercedes dealers seem quite competitive on price for batteries, similar size i think a couple of double AAs would do

MBs tend to be very fussy about batteries.if it's meant to be AGM fit AGM again. The charging circuit is different for AGM and non- AGM so the wrong battery won't charge properly.
